If you didn’t get a chance to enjoy the Lunar New year festivities earlier this month, don’t worry here’s your chance! The Chinese American Museum will be hosting its annual Lantern Festival on March 2, 2013 from noon to 7 pm. The Lantern Festival marks the closing of Chinese New Year festivities where Chinese families hang colorful lanterns to wish for peace and prosperity in the New Year. The festival will feature a Chinese American re-creation of a traditional village street fair featuring brilliant lantern displays, exciting musical, acrobatic and lion dance performances, arts and crafts booths, and even a spirited glow-in-the-dark silver dragon stage performance. Everything is FREE to the public.
